How Can We Help?
Scooping Ice Cream Into Waffle Cones
Learn how to attractively and properly scoop ice cream into a waffle cone and present it to a guest or customer
Highlights
- Stand with hips square to the freezer. Keep wrist straight. Use upper back and arm muscles
- Grab a waffle cone and wrap the lower half with a napkin
- Scoop from high point of the tub
- Scoop around the tub. Avoid digging
- Form into round ball. Dispense onto a waffle cone with slight pressure to secure it on the waffle cone but not crack the cone
- Our usual scoop size is between a racket ball and a tennis ball
- Add cap if necessary to make a round top
- Look customer in the eyes when presenting to guest or customer, and say, “Thank you!”
NOTES
- If ice cream is soft, use spring scooper
- If ice cream is soft, push aside so that guest receives a properly cold scoop
